You can take 5V to your sensor from VBUS (pin 40) which is the nominal '5V' you are providing the Pico from USB, or from VSYS (pin 39) which is the same except after a schottky diode drop.

You will however need to ensure that no 5V from the sensor, neither for sensor input nor output pins, reaches the Pico pins. That might be achieved using resistor dividers or other means.

Applying 5V to Pico pins may damage or destroy the Pico and/or other attached circuitry.

There has been previous discussion on the forum about connecting 5V sensors and interfacing to 5V signals. It would be worth reading those threads and posts.
