If it absolutely comes to flashing a new OS copy I will. It seems the nuclear option though. It is the Raspberry Pi 400. I just feel that there should be a simple way of going back from SSH, with a waste icon and white screen, back to the stardard Desktop with task bar etc. I'm sure there is a way through sudo raspi- config which I'm missing. Surely I haven't disinstalled the desktop.
