Being obtuse here....
The machine in question is in another country, so it will be 2 weeks before I can physically access it - is there anything I can do now?

Perhaps it depends on what the 'rashness' was?
And on how the default (reboot/power-on) configuration was left prior to the incident.
Do you have any other form of access, maybe via any other device sharing the same remote network?
Can you get anyone else to at least power-cycle it, or act as your eyes and hands to debug it?
