Official Display • Touch Display 2 not rotating

I have a raspi 5 and touch display 2 connected. I can get the display to rotate whatever direction , but my problem is that the touch interface does not rotate as well, so when I drag my finger from top to bottom, that translates to the cursor moving from left to right and vice versa (full length from left to right translates to full length top to bottom).

Code:

PRETTY_NAME="Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)"NAME="Debian GNU/Linux"VERSION_ID="12"VERSION="12 (bookworm)"VERSION_CODENAME=bookwormID=debianHOME_URL="https://www.debian.org/"SUPPORT_URL="https://www.debian.org/support"BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.debian.org/"
Retracing what I did:
I had to update and then full-upgrade first for the display to work, and it was fine for a while.
Then I updated team viewer and then had to change the wayland config to W1 X11 "Openbox window manager with X11 backend" for team viewer to still work.
Then I installed an on-screen keyboard wvkbd which kept failing to start, so I tried matchbox-keyboard which was successful.

This is when I tested rotating the screen again and noticed the touch-sensor wasn't following the rotation of the display.

I'm not sure if this is necessary but I'll explicitly mention that rotating the display vertically will match what the touch sensor is currently stuck at, but not in any other configuration.
