Connecting pins GP13/GP14 to gnd/3v3 is optional if you want use board as power supply. This pins are pull high/low in software but you should not source/sink more than 20mA so i soldere tham to 3V3/GND.I just noticed the photos -do you need to solder wires onto the RP2040 Zeroes for your firmware or is that just if you want to do something else like flash an LED?
