IP masquerade allows the computational nodes behind the login node to use the IP number of the login node to access anything outside the cluster's system area network.I'll try the DHCP server with the switch board one more time but if that fails, what is IP marsquerade? Do do have a suggested resource to help me set it up? Otherwise I'll also search it up later. Bridging I've heard of before, I'll also check that out.

Upon looking at the tutorial you are following

the instructions under the subheading "Access to the outside world" shows one way to set up IP masquerade. I'd continue following that tutorial. Even though it's got lots of extra stuff like wiring fans the instructions have been checked to work.
