Anyway to move them back?

Not without another Linux machine, no.
  1. Remove borked drive
  2. If anything on it is important take a backup
  3. Flash a clean RPiOS to a different SD card (or other boot media).
  4. Boot from it
  5. Connect the borked drive
  6. Mount it
  7. Attemtp to fix it.
Damn, the machine hasn't been rebooted or anything. it's still running. No way to get sudo back and fix it right away?
