My view is that the master-slave relationship is indeed appalling when applied to humans, but it is an accurate description of what some relationships are, and especially so when applied to digital chips, where such chips are indeed slaves and subservient to whatever a master demands of them.
Recognising such a relationship between non-sentiment entities, and describing it as it is, does not mean accepting such a relationship between humans as legitimate, valid, supported, or desirable.
We use digital chips as slaves and I believe we need to recognise and accept that.
This 'nonsense' again - and I say that as a liberal left-leaning socialist tree-hugging social justice warrior, who is not ashamed to identify as such.The electronics industry in particular has been [using Master and Slave terminology unabashedly] and it needs to stop.
No one I know of - except for far right racists - are saying any human should be treated or used as slaves.It’s unfortunate and embarrassing that our community has gone this long without acknowledging the need to treat all humans with respect.
