General discussion • rsyslog how to remove a message?

I have added in /etc/rsyslog

#### RULES ####
###############
:msg, contains, "hostapd" ~


But I still get hostapd messages in /var/log/syslog like

hostapd[13288]: Could not read interface wlan0 flags: No such device
