Looking for a really specific screen for rpi. Size should be 4-5 inch, non touch screen (or optional anyway), HDMI (just for the 60 hz refresh rate), and low cost, less than $20 in USA. Open to SPI if it can hit 60 hz.
Here is what I have found so far:
3.5 inch 480x320 SPI touch screen for $18. The price is excellent, but I would prefer slightly larger size, and I really am looking for 60 hz refresh rate. The reviews state it has a very poor refresh rate. The chipset is ILI9486, which looks like it might be able to hit 60 hz? https://github.com/juj/fbcp-ili9341
7 inch HDMI for $33. Too large, and too expensive.
4 inch SPI for $19. This would be perfect, but it uses the ST7796S chipset which I couldn't get working on rpi. To be fair, it says it's for Arduino and rpi isn't supported. Also, not sure I could hit 60 hz with this, but at least the price and size are good.
What would you suggest? Is there a 4 inch non touch hdmi screen out there for under $20?
