From the Waveshare site this is a C mount lens designed for a 1/2.3" sensor format.
So it is intended to be used with the CS/C adapter.
It has been designed to just match to the sensor size in the HQ camera (a 1/2.3" (7.86mm diagonal)sensor )).
Looks like the design is a bit marginal in the permitted amount of roll-off in the relative illumination at the full diagonal image height of the sensor.
Doubt there is much to be done to rectify it.
If corner illumination is important then, if/when choosing another lens it would be prudent to select one designed for a larger sensor format eg 1/2" or 2/3" .
