I have been doing this since 2017 although I have had to modify the process over the years and it is not particularly helpful if you use the GUI installer.
I don't actually rebuild systems (because I have multiple backups) but use this every 2 years as a starting point for configuring a new installation. Of course it needs to be used intelligently as OS change and you have to ensure you change the log to get more than 12 months (which obviously must be done in the first year).
